Ken Sheets has been involved in the patent and trademark field for 26 years.  His current practice includes counseling clients on a variety of intellectual property matters to best fit their business goals. He has extensive experience in patent and trademark prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions relating to patent validity and infringement, IP asset management, and patent infringement actions before a variety of federal district courts and the International Trade Commission. He has experience with numerous technologies including computer software, digital signal processing, voice over IP, broadband and cellular telecommunications, network management, and manufacturing equipment.

Prior to forming Sheets & Zito, Ken worked at the patent boutique firms the Whitestone law in Virginia and Kenealy Vaidya in Washington, D.C.  Prior to those he was in-house counsel for CPA Global where he managed IP portfolio payments and performed IP rights restorations for clients. He began his career working with Mr. Zito as outside patent counsel to Texas Instruments, focusing on their newly-developed Voice Over IP technology and new designs of digital signal processors.
